DELIVERY

Delivery

In order to ensure everyone’s safety, please ensure there is adequate space for delivery and you have a safe environment for the driver. All of our haulers put safety first, and if we can’t safely deliver at your site we won’t, but you’ll still be charged for additional trucking charges. Nobody wants that, so please make safety is a priority and ensure you have adequate space for delivery.

The Tilt-Bed will need 100' space to deliver 20′ containers and 150′  for 40′ containers. Please note, if we cannot safely deliver at drivers discretion to any spot on your location, you will  be charged for a dry run delivery fee equals to delivery fee charged at purchase as well as a restocking fee of $350. J&T CONTAINERS utilizes the professional delivery expertise of third party freight companies. We trust these hauling professionals and their safety and discretion based on their experience.

Both the customer and driver at the drop-off location are responsible for all safety decisions.

This also applies to orders where the container is returned due to the inability of the driver to unload the container.  You are responsible for having the proper equipment to remove the container if it gets delivered at or as close to your site as possible.  If you have related questions on delivery to your site, please contact us and we will help you.

**EQUIPMENT UNLOADING DELAYS EXTENDING LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES WHICH ARE NOT THE FAULT OF SELLER AND/OR SELLER’S SHIPPING COMPANY SHALL BE PAID BY CUSTOMER AT A RATE OF $125 PER HOUR COLLECTED BEFORE CONTAINER IS FINALLY UNLOADED. **

Preparing for Delivery

The most important thing is to have enough room for the truck to drop the container. 20’ containers require 100’ of space, while 40’ containers require 150’ of space (40’ for the box and 110’ for the truck and trailer when full extended at delivery).

If delivery is rejected due to the driver being unable to safely back into the location, the customer will be charged for trucking plus a re-stock fee of $350, so please make sure you have adequate space at your location.

The location also needs to be level. You can either lay concrete or gravel, or you can place railroad ties or blocks capable of supporting the container. A good rule of thumb on railroad ties or blocks is to have on under each end and then additional blocks every 10’ or so (depending on your surface area).

A level surface is crucial to doors lining up, so blocks are a good idea to have in place.
